Haridwar is an ancient city, and important Hindu pilgrimage site in North India’s Uttarakhand State. Here the ganga river exits the Himalayas foothills, it has the largest of several sacred Ghats. (holy bathing steps.) Many of Hindu families visit this holy place for various spiritual reasons, one of them being, their new-born child’s first mundan.
